Learn how much exam time and number of questions you need to prepare well

It depends on the exam. See the table below:

ExamExam
Time
Questions
CompTIA Linux+XK0-004 90 minutes60
LPIC-1 (101/102)90 minutes60
LPIC-290 minutes60
LPIC-390 minutes60
Linux Foundation Certified SysAdmin (LFCS)120 minutes--
Linux Foundation Certified Engineer (LFCE)120 minutes--

In short, you have on average less than 1:30 minutes for each question. When doing practice tests, time yourself. This is also important and consider the "stress" factor as well, with a 20% time margin.

You can check the exam prices here.

You can also see that a certification is worth it here because salaries are good, and companies are looking for Linux professionals. The benefits far outweigh the sacrifice.

And if you have already decided, check out our Certification Guide.

And if you want to know where to take the exams, check the city list.
